The Wuchang Training Base (Section I) of the Hangzhou Airport Rail Express, located in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is a key infrastructure project jointly constructed by China Railway First Group Construction and Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. and GOWE Group. The project commenced in November 2021 and was completed in September 2022, demonstrating remarkable efficiency and precision.
Situated in Wuchang Subdistrict, west of the Hangzhou Ring Expressway and north of Yuhangtang Road, the project spans a total land area of 49,633.07 square meters. It includes a training base featuring a teaching building, practical training building, dormitory building, simulated island station, side platform station, simulated tunnel, and supporting facilities. The total construction area is 121,702.31 square meters, comprising 67,677.51 square meters above ground and 54,024.8 square meters underground. The total construction volume reached 720,000 cubic meters.
As a critical supporting project for the Hangzhou Airport Rail Express, integral to the Asian Games infrastructure, the Wuchang Training Base is strategically located in the Future Sci-Tech City of Yuhang District. Once operational, it will meet the training needs of over 25,000 Hangzhou Metro employees and have the capacity to accommodate 2,000 trainees simultaneously in the long term.
